Triskel. Viking silver pendant
$40,00
The Norman Triskel, or as the Vikings called it Odin’s Triskele, was very common in Celtic culture. He was often depicted on various objects and used as an amulet.
For the Celts, it was a very powerful talisman associated with the forces of nature, its balance. It was believed that he could bring peace to life, protect and give spiritual energy.
Triskelion meant the unity of three. The unity of the three worlds of Celtic mythology – Asgard, Midgard and Helheim. The unity of the three gods – Odin, Loki and Thor. Unity of Spirit, Soul and Body. Therefore, the Triskel is always cyclical, beginning, middle, and end; sunrise, zenith and sunset.
The Celts used Triskelion attributes while casting spells. It was believed that he would help to see the future, when he calmed the spirit and connected it with the natural elements.
